Kahlo Exhibit, Happy Hour + Stop Street Harassment!

Hi ChiFems,

We hope that your summers are all going well! Thanks to all who helped switch up our regular happy hour in June and joined us for a screening of Obvious Child and a bite after at Howells and Hood!

In that same vein, a group of us plan to go see the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art the evening of August 19. Admission is free on Tuesdays. To RSVP or for more details, please email Amanda at amanda.recupido@gmail.com. More information about the exhibit is here: http://www2.mcachicago.org/exhibition/unbound-contemporary-art-after-frida-kahlo/

There’s also a reproductive rights happy hour coming up on August 26 at the Green Door Tavern at 5:30pm – no need to RSVP to that event, you can just show up!

Finally, we’re working to spread the word about the non-profit Stop Street Harassment. Our very own Phaydra Babinchok has worked hard to create 3 short funny videos to start the conversation about street harassment. You can view her awesome work here: http://www.stopstreetharassment.org/2013/11/chicagospsvideos/

As always, if you have any events you’re working on that you’d to share with our group, please send us an email at chifemsaction@gmail.com, and we’ll make sure to include it in our next message.

Hope to see you soon!
